More than 800,000 people follow him on Weibo, a Chinese Microblogging website, including 200,000 new followers in the 24 hours after the game with the Lakers. His name was mentioned more than 140,000 times in 7 days after he beat the Nets.

Moreover, he impacts on the economy. He has boosted the ticket prices; merchandise sales, and the Madison Square Garden’s stock price.

1.     He plays basketball well

Jeremy Lin had scored 136 points in five games since he started to play as the starting guard. This is the highest points since the NBA and the ABA merged in 1976. In addition, he is the first NBA player who has kept scoring more than 20 points and more than 7 assists in 7 games in a row since playing as the starting player.

He would also generate $25 to 50 million to the Knicks and $40 to 80 million to the league in the next season by the global interest in “Lin-Sanity”.
